everything is protected as always, but this issue just started 8 months ago when I upgraded to ISA 2004 and a new Dell server. ________________________________ From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Andrew English Sent: Friday, May 05, 2006 2:09 PM To: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [isalist] Re: firewall service Well ISA should be a vital part of your network thus you should be putting some power protection on the server, and the rest of your network in good practice. It could be that the power surges you have been getting on your non-protective gear is wearing them out a lot quicker, you can try putting an UPS in but it would only be a matter of time before things tank. No matter how good of a driver you are you should always buy insurance on your car because what stops some one from crashing into you? I do have a UPS attached to my switches. this did not happen before with ISA 2000. is there a setting I need to know about. All my other server also show that the Intel NIC was reconnected, but they are all up and running; except ISA firewall service which I have stop and restarted, even though it says running. the NIC is on a Power edge 2800 Dell server. thanks
