dns behind isa

hi,
i have just install isa 2004.
everybody can go out to the internet no problem.
i am using to legs configuration (no dmz for now)
the problem is my dns, i can not send & recive emails .it works locally
in my org fine but,send it to the internet its not working.
i woud like to know how should i configure isa for dns acess
i have publised exchange server.
