Hi Glenn, Thanks for your comments. I ran the log query and it is accessing a standard https port (443) As I said even making a rule for all outbound protocols from client ip address to external didn't help. Pretty strange ________________________________ From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Glenn P. But one that I came across a while ago was the application was trying to open a connection on a port other than 80 or 443. The ISA on the SBS server blocked this, and so the web app died. But once I identified the additional port from the ISA logs and opened it up, it started working again. Check the ISA logs for any fails on non standard ports. ________________________________ From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of Ara Avvali Sent: Tue 17/Oct/2006 07:57 To: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [isalist] adp web based program Greetings everyone, I have a problem which I appreciate if anyone can help me to the right direction. We are using web based version of ADP payroll. The problem is it is very slow and most times it times out. When I check on ISA logs in shows failed attempt to ADP site. I decided to add it to direct host settings. Client is an XP SP2 but with popup blocker disabled based on adp tech advise and also it has a certificate assigned to it. Certificate is given to client so only that machine can login to their service. If I disconnect the wire and connect it directly to internet speed is reasonable. But behind ISA is slow as hell. Even creating a rule (allow all outbound form client IP address to external for sake of testing) doesn't help :-( I am not sure if I have done anything wrong in settings or ADP web based is just not happy behind ISA server. So anyone has the same scenario would you tell me what your setting are? <https://www.ecll.com.au/exchange/glenn.johnston/Drafts/RE:%20%5Bisalist %5D%20adp%20web%20based%20program.EML/1_multipart/image001.jpg> <https://www.ecll.com.au/exchange/glenn.johnston/Drafts/RE:%20%5Bisalist %5D%20adp%20web%20based%20program.EML/1_multipart/image002.jpg> <https://www.ecll.com.au/exchange/glenn.johnston/Drafts/RE:%20%5Bisalist %5D%20adp%20web%20based%20program.EML/1_multipart/image007.jpg> <https://www.ecll.com.au/exchange/glenn.johnston/Drafts/RE:%20%5Bisalist %5D%20adp%20web%20based%20program.EML/1_multipart/image008.jpg>
