Hi John, I warn against it because it exposes sites in a way similar to using Server Publishing Rules to publish Web site. However, even when you enable that option on the Public Name tab, Web Publishing Rules are always more secure than Server Publishing Rules in this scenario, because you have the HTTP Security filter at your beck and call to secure connections against well-known exploits. You can also benefit from reverse caching to improve performance on the Web server. Yes, just to confirm. Server Publishing Rules allow any name to be used when connecting to the Web sites, so there's no difference in that regard. Yes, I have Tom's book http://www.ISAserver.org Tom, True, I could do that, but am very weiry of your books warning against it. Not being the preferred method since that allows any traffic that can get to that IP access it vs. just the domains listed. I hope I am not confusing things. If that is the best method for my situation, I'll go on with it. Just trying to keep the internal server as protected as possible. You may, in fact, tell me that by Server Publishing http I am doing the exact same thing....as web pub using setting of "Any Domain Name". Is that correct?
