Hi,
XP Pro works on a windows 2000 network. I've not had trouble with it.
However, I keep my
Tested and true W2KAS as my dev machine and will until I think that XP
Pro is ready for
Real prime time.
What keeps the line out of site is that which is above the belt and
below the belly button.

I think you must have selected the "Slow down client and server
authentication for no apparent reason" checkbox. It's right underneath
the "Randomly delete files from home directory with no notification"
option.
