I've not been successful at getting this to go straight to the web. I
created a destination set, changed the http redirector and added the rss
feed url to the direct access site list. Have I misunderstood what needs
to be done to allow anonymous access?

HI Amy,

OK, that was the file I was thinking of. Then you'll have to do what Jim
said, allow anonymous outbound access to the Web proxy from the SPS
site. This won't affect inbound access, just outbound. And no one is
going to surf from the sharepoint site themselves, so it should be OK.

Thanks Tom, I didn't realize that you had created a sharepoint kit. I
have already added the code to the web.config file but that doesn't
solve the authentication issue. It does force it to use a proxy so
that's good. But I'm stuck because creating a rule to allow
non-authenticating access to the sharepoint server would mean that I
have to allow non-authenticating access everything on the SBS server
wouldn't it? I'd like to somehow limit this type of authentication to
this specific webpart or failing that to just the RSS sites that I'm
trying to reach but not all server access.

Here's the exact error message that I'm dealing with.

http://support.microsoft.com/common/rss.aspx?rssid=3D2107&ln=3Den-us
does not appear to be a valid RSS feed. If the feed is valid, please
ensure your proxy server settings are correct if you use a proxy server.

Error returned from FeedReader: The remote server returned an error:

(407) Proxy Authentication Required.:SmilingGoat.Syndication

Hi Amy,

Check the SPS kit on the ISAserver.org site. I recall we put in some
info on how to configure a config file to support the Web proxy auth.
