You can not have XP Home computers on your domain. They may be on the
same subnet, same wire and such, but they are not on the domain, as they
are not able to join the domain.

If some one on a XP Home computer is able to access domain resources, I
would surmise that your domain security needs to be tightened. While
some may not view this as a problem, at the very least, an outsider will
be able to access those resources easily as well.

Isn't having a XP Home computer with the user's name and password the
same as a domain user's name and password a security risk?

We have several XP Home computers on our domain, behind ISA, without the
Firewall client. As long as the local username and password are
identical
to their domain username and password, they authenticate without issue
and
are able to access Internet without actually joining the domain. Be
sure to
enable password on the local user account and be certain, as I
mentioned,
that the username and password match the domain username and password.

everything
since then. i'll check on some udp things but i'm sure it's ok as it
gets
pop3 mail account.

it's xp home without domain authentication.
