That setting is validated against the assigned IP address and the default
gateway.
What are those values?

Subject: [isalist] Windows 2000 Server Non Standard Subnet Mask problem

http://www.ISAserver.org

On a Windows 2000 server. Trying to set up a new ADSL network connection
using a subnet mask of 255.255.255.240 returns an error that the submask
"Is not valid".

This is was via the settings Network and Dial Up Connections.

On a Workstation Windows 2000 it was possible to set up a connection using
the non standard subnet mask.

What is need on the Windows 2000 server ?

Johnde
