Hi Bill,

I've noticed this too on the Web Proxy clients. What's odd is if
"unconfigure" the client by removing the checkmark, and then click the
checkmark again, it works almost all the time. For the times that it
doesn't work, if you just unconfigure the Web Proxy client and make it a
Firewall or SecureNAT client, it works. It might be a coincidence, and
its just a matter of waiting. But its very consistent. BUT, the ONLY
time I see this is when I'm posting to the ISA Server.org Web boards. Go
figure!

HTH,
Tom

Yes. The firewall client is also installed on each client machine.

Hi Bill,

Did you configure the browsers as Web Proxy clients?

Thanks!

I an new to ISA server and am looking for suggestions on where to start
looking for this problem. It seems to occur serveral times a day that
the
ISA server fails to respond to client requests. Using IE, the clients
will
timeout when trying to view a site. If I look at the web sessions, I do
not
see the client. The problem goes away after a few minites and I then see
them listed under sessions. I believe the problem is with something in
the
ISA config because we aslo have a legacy proxy 2.0 server which still
can
access the web during the times that the ISA box can not.

Not sure where to begin.
