Hi Jim 1) Do you thus imply that setting this option is NOT such a good idea? 2) Also, when you say it only redirects when the WEB Proxy Service is unresponsive, this essentially means that when the WEB Proxy Service is not running or has crashed for some reason, only then will it be bypassed? Any more information you may have on this option would be brilliant. Site and Content rules operate normally. Bear in mind that redirecting to the local Web Proxy service also sends those requests without credentials. Secondary to this option, there is a tickbox which says: "If the local service is unavailable, redirect requests to requested WEB Server" Now I am having some very strange things happening with my Site&Content rules, and a techie from Microsoft suggested enabling this secondary option. What I would like to hear from the forum is what is the full impact of enabling this? And how in fact does it work. For example, if I request a website, and I am denied access to that site by a Site&Content rule, will it then failover to this option and then say, "Hey, let's forget about the WEB Proxy service and simply forward the request straight to the requested WEB Server". Now I am quite sure that it will NOT function as my example above, but I would like to understand exactly when this option is used, and how it goes about deciding when to bypass the WEB Proxy and when not to.
