A quick way to clear the cache is to stop the cache service, then delete
the file, and then restart the service. You can write a batch file
(.bat or .cmd) do it for you. Point to the right cache file :)

net stop w3schdwn
net stop w3proxy
del D:\urlcache\dir1.cdat
net start w3proxy
net start w3schdwn

Good luck

Jim,

Clearing the cache did the trick thanks. Just one followup question.
What
procedure "should" be used to clear the cache. I couldn't find an
obvious way
to do this. I disabled the cache deleted the cache dir and then
re-enabled.
This was likely overkill.

Thanks

Bill

Try clearing the ISA cache and retrying the request.
ISA won't update the mime-type unti lit hast to update the cache
contents.

Subject: [isalist] Web Publishing and Mime Types

Hello,

I am publishing a web server with ISA 2004. On the IIS server I have
configured a mime type for .java files to be text/plain. If I go to a
URL
that points to a .java file the file is displayed in my web browser as
text.
However if I veiw the published web site the MIME type gets translated
to
octet/stream (evidently by the ISA server). How can I change this
behavior? I
want .java files to be displayed directly as plain text.

Thanks

Bill
