Anyone installed it yet? I've got a test server with a Pentium 4 with 2gig 
memory, but haven't had time yet to get it together.

This has just been reported in the UK edition of Computer Weekly, but upon 
further searching I found this

press release on the VMWare site 
http://www.vmware.com/news/releases/server_beta.html 

It seems the 'free' version is actually a Beta of their successor to GSX Server.
