Hi The ISA External ISA NIC's on both sides have NETBIOS over TCP/IP disabled. Could this have something to do with it? What could I risk if I enable them ? So I VPN into a network protected by ISA. I authenticate ok, I can use RDP , ping and other basic stuff. I need to establish an ODBC connector from the remote VPN client to the SQL server on the ISA machine. I cannot seem to get to create the ODBC. I tried both with Windows authentication and SQL SA login. I keep getting an error which effectively tells me server not found. What do I need to do. Must I open up something on ISA? Any help really appreciated William ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org/ Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') Click 'Edit H <file:///D:\User%20Files\wilengland\Images\CARS\GTOengine.jpg> TML' to insert an HTML disclaimer <a href="http://www.gfi.com/images/topindex.jpg"; > ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org/ Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: administrator@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
