Hugh, Well I already have sp2 on this machine, so I tried re-installing it. No effect. I removed the QoS on the external NIC and this has fixed the problem. :-) Although this is great, I have that uneasy feeling about leaving the issue like this. If sp2 was meant to fix this issue, is sp2 properly installed on this machine ? If it is not, how can I get it to reinstall properly ? If I get a quiet day I may think about reinstalling ISA on this machine - after backing up everything of course! Disabling the QoS on the external nic will not affect reports but you will not be able to utilize QoS bandwidth rules on you external nic. -----Original Message----- From: patricks@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:patricks@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, September 04, 2001 6:54 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: VPN Disconnect crashes ISA http://www.ISAserver.org Thanks, I will give this a go after office hours. I thought that the QOS was needed by ISA server. Will this affect reports if I disable this ? Last months ISA news letter "tip of the week" or something similar mentioned disable QOS on your nic and it worked for me. -----Original Message----- From: patricks@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [ mailto:patricks@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 04 September 2001 11:11 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] VPN Disconnect crashes ISA http://www.ISAserver.org Has anyone else seen this ? We recently changed the IP address range which was being used by our ISA server. After a few issues all seemed fine. Until I tried to VPN to our site. The RAS works fine as it did before, except when I disconnect the VPN connection the ISA Server Control service crashes. The following error is given :- The Microsoft ISA Server Control service terminated with service-specific error 278540. If no one has seen this before, I guess a re-install is necessary.
