Tom

After examining the Web proxy logs I found that the users that are
experiencing this problem all have a Logitech QuickCam installed. As
part of this installation it installs Reality Fusion's GameCam and this
caused it to phone home to Reality's site.

See this url:
http://www.realityfusion.com/corp/Products/GameCam/gc_faq.asp#7

Thanks for the help.

Hi Johann,

What ISA Server client type are these? What does the Web Proxy log say?
I'd do a packet trace and look at the contents and destination of these
outbound requests.

HTH,

Tom

        Hi

We are using ISA with FP1 installed on our network. I am trying
to troubleshoot a problem that a few users on out network experiences -
while working in Word or Excel an Internet Explorer authentication box
pops up asking for authentication for the proxy server.

All users have valid credentials to go to the internet and once
they put their credentials in it goes away for awhile, but reappears
later, to the user's frustration.

One possible cause could be that when they get mail with this
box reappears but it is not true for all users.

        Any ideas?
