The upload applet is a custom application from FB - you might want to look into
that. It works fine for me with my standard HTTP access rule, but I think I
had to turn compression off. Steve will remember what we had to do - I'm out
of the office atm and don't want to check it from where I am...

This error is occurring when uploading photos to a Facebook gallery from inside
our network, so there really isn't anything to look at. Does it work on your
setup?

Ok, hey Dan, can you give us the link to your school or district facebook page
so we can take a look at it?

Yep, Facebook is now a business tool and so is Twitter and LinkedIn.
Fortunately it is safer than MySpace which because of the custom programming
they allowed never made the jump. Yes even schools. Many schools now have
Facebook pages themselves.

thanks,

yeah; sure, indeed.
While I agree that this is a silly thing to do, it doesn't change the fact that
a great many organizations do exactly this and call it "line-of-business".

Many, many people, organizations, and companies use social networking sites for
communication with colleagues, customers, and clients on a daily basis. Just
because it is Facebook doesn't mean there's not a perfectly valid business or
organizational need to post to it.

The fact that ISA or something else is not allowing the upload don't worry me
too much, what is incredible here is:

Do the taxpayer on your school district knows that the school district is using
money for somebody to be able to upload pictures to facebook? amazing

In the last couple of weeks, something changed (no idea what), and now people
inside our network can no longer upload pictures to Facebook. The upload
application seems to be working, then crashes at the end. (Of course, the
obvious solution of doing it from home is unacceptable... *grumble*)

I looked on the ISA server (ISA 2006), and this is the error message where it
dies:

The traffic is hitting the default rule for some reason (which is why it is
dying), but the protocol is http, which "should" be able to make it through.
