I would have thought that ISA would grab the stack before the RRAS NAT
service could get hold of it, similar to its behavior of ignoring Basic
Firewall settings where one tries to specify inbound or outbound interface
filters via RRAS on an ISA box. Are you saying that ISA will share NAT
with RRAS?

Not if you tried to combine RRAS NAT with ISA. If you did that, packets traveled better using monkeys & buckets.

No, really... On ISA2000, RRAS on ISA configured to enable routing enables the Kernel Mode Data Pump to keep all routing operations in kernel mode rather than switching back and forth between user and kernel mode. Better performance.
In ISA 2004, IP Routing is enabled by default (config, general, add sec policy, define IP prefs, IP Routing) giving the same performance boost.

What the RRAS for? Why not just add a routing network to ISA?

That's find but I have two networks with two different IPs. 192.168.x.x and 10.10.x.x so how do I redirect the SMTP if the machine sits on one network or the other?

No Andrew,
You build an smtp server, whether it is unix, linux windows server or xp pro.
You then put it in your network.
Then you publish the relay server through ISA, and the relay server directs the mail to the correct mail server.
You really should read up on this stuff...it's very basic beginners stuff.

UHH?
So that goes in front of ISA Server?
All this money in building boxes to handle the work, plus license adds to an awful lot of money.. Good thing money grows on trees for you Steve...

In one of my previous posts I asked about running two internal networks through ISA 2004 Server.
Now I have question. If both companyA and compayB have their own Exchange servers, how do I go about configuring ISA 2004 to push all mail incoming in on port 25 from mail.companyA.com to companyA, and all mail.companyB.com to companyB?
Thanks Andrew
