Yes, you are right. They weren't having any problems with my straight Windows 2003 VPN server. Guess I'll re-activate that for now and troubleshoot later myself. If you find anything out, please be sure to post it to the list! That really whacked my VPN client DNS resolution. Still haven't figured it out, but I'm sure there's a solution. Just have been motivated enough yet to research the problem :) Tom ________________________________ From: Rob Moore [mailto:RMoore@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, January 31, 2005 8:46 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Trouble with ISA 2004 VPN http://www.ISAserver.org Hello-- Yesterday I migrated our VPN server (for roaming VPN clients) to our ISA 2004 server (it was previously on a separate Windows 2003 server). It all seemed to go OK. Now, though, I'm having some problems. When I'm connected to the VPN from external, I can still ping and connect to external sites. But when I ping the FQDN of internal servers, it can't be resolved. If I ping the WINS name of an internal server, it does resolve it, but only after several seconds of waiting. I've configured the VPN interface to give the clients IP addresses from an internal DHCP server, and they are getting those addresses. The ISA server is also getting multiple DHCP addresses from the DHCP server. (Is that normal?) IPConfig on one of the clients tells me that the DNS server is the ISA server itself. They're not getting that from the DHCP server. I'm not quite sure what's going on. Any one got any bright ideas?
