Where I am at, if I go to the URL below, I am prompted for
authentication.

Looking better! I can test for you if you like.

Thanks Jason:
190.100.30.2 is the internal address of my exchange 2K where OWA
resides. Mail1.abchome.com is a register dns with ip# 12.98.169.27 of my
ISAserver. The other nic card of the ISAserver is 190.100.100.67.
So basically, internet users will type in
http://mail1.abchome.com/exchange and the ISAserver is supposed to
redirect this request to the exchange 2k server.

I tried your suggestion but I am stack with 401. I don't know if this is
an authentication problem of the ISA or Exchange 2K.

Any help is appreciated.

Jay,

Is 190.100.30.2 an internal IP address of the Exchange server. If I
ping mail1.abchome.com I get 12.98.169.27. Is this correct?

Change your destination set to mail1.abchome.com, leave the paths as
they are and see if this helps any.

On the Web pub rule for OWA, make sure to select the option to redirect
to internal server and to use existing Host Header.

Thanks,

Jason

Jason.
My destination set is as follows:
Name/IP range Path
190.100.30.2 /exchweb/*
190.100.30.2 /exchange/*
190.100.30.2 /public/*

The ip# 190.100.30.2 is an exchange2K server where OWA resides.

Jay,

I too received the same 403 Forbidden error as John.

If you are using Web publishing, how is your destination set configured?

Thanks Jason. I actually followed this article but I keep getting 401
unauthorized - The server requires authorization to fulfill the request.
Access to the Web server is denied. Contact the server administrator.
(12209). This is the result of external users access (internet users). I
used http://mail1.abchome.com/exchange

Meanwhile if I used the intranet to access the exchange server directly,
OWA ask my userid and password and it works.

Any ideas guys.

Hey guys. I am trying to configure an ISA server to support External
OWA.
My INTRANET guys can access the OWA directly to the Exchange 2K server
where the OWA is installed. I installed another server with just W2K and
ISA2K.
Somehow I've been trying to look for step by step configuration on the
ISA and E2K server.

Ps. Your help is highly needed.
