Hi Brajesh,
You need to configure the ISA firewall as an outbound SMTP relay. It
won't passively examine SMTP streams moving through it. That means that
your internal Exchange Server needs to use it as a smart host. POP
connectors and TRNS and ETRNS and such won't work. If you to see what
users are doing, then configure them to use the outbound SMTP relay as
their SMTP server and configure the relay to authenticate the users,
which means the relay should be a member of the user domain, unless you
want to mirror all those user accounts on that machine.

disscussion. Now I am trying with ur topic "smtp message screener at
exchange server" from Tom's Book "Isa Server 2000 and beyond".
Tom my setup is like follow.... An ISA2000 at gateway with static ip,
An
DC 2000 for internal network, An exchange2000+DC in internal network
but it
is on different domain than the ISA and DC. I am using the POP3/SMTP
connector for receiving mails from Global mail box from the ISP. On
client
side i am using Outlook 2000 with POP3 and SMTP server as exchange
address.
But I want to scan what the user's are sending to outside from my
network.(Perhaps it is a nearly equal problem given by ur book "Isa
server
and beyond" on page 444/445.
Pls. Give me Idea which will be the good/quick solution for my
objective.......for time being I dnot want to purchase any lisc. for
third
party software.
