Thanks for the advice. I'm very familiar with that content. My concern is to
look at the total solution and to account for Email and Sharepoint traffic that
will go through ISA.

Thanks,

Scott

With regards to OCS and edge deployments, remember the Reverse Proxy piece.
This is used to facilitate external users' access to meeting content downloads,
distribution group expansion, and remote users' access to Address Book Service
file downloads.

Starting on page 17 of the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Edge
Server Deployment Guide, they have a procedure detailing how to configure ISA
Server 2006 as a Reverse Proxy for OCS 2007.

This document can be found at the following URL:

Also, if you haven't seen it, yet, the Edge Planning Tool for Office
Communications Server 2007 is very handy and can be found at the following URL:

I do. Thanks. It will be mainly Exchange RPC over HTTPS, OWA, ActiveSync,
CWA, and maybe Sharepont. My AV will go through OCS Edge and will be adjacent
to ISA.

Thanks,

Scott

Start with the capacity planner and adjust the results for the total number of
users.

Also, you have to have a better understanding of the traffic profile than "##
users to the Internet".

Streaming media or even file-access of a/v content is much more expensive than
is "web site" content.

I'm looking for guidance to size ISA for a large deployment. We are talking up
to 50,000 users behind a single entry point to the internet. Is there any
documentation that talks about deploying ISA on this scale?
