To All: I did some checking of the archives and such, and had a question: I am wanting to implement an ISA server into an existing setup with several clients here at my isp. I have all my clients in the same ip block and they're all using XXX.XXX.XXX.1 as the default gateway. Of course, i'm just using XXX as an example. Now, this .1 is actually an interface on my core router that goes out to the internet. I am wanting to take the core router out and use the ISA server as .1 so it will seamlessly be the new default gateway. Now, keep in mind, that all my IP addresses are real and I don't use any NAT-type addresses at all. Now, do I put 2 NICS in the ISA Server and then put the backside NIC as the .1 address and then put the frontside NIC as another IP in a different range that's real. And have the default gateway setup as my core router? Ideally, this should work, and I can't say it won't since I haven't tried it yet. Reason being, once I place this ISA server, running in Integrated mode, in the loop, will any clients of mine that have their own web servers now become inaccessible? Or does this only apply to NAT or ? I would think i'd have to add each webserver into the ISA configuration to ensure they loaded properly? What else should I watch out for? Citrix servers? ICQ or other chat programs or ? Now, onto another question. Bandwidth Throttling. I have read that ISA server doesn't include a obvious feature to set certain kbits/sec per user or segment limitations. Now, what is everyone else doing in response to this? I mean, I looked for 3rd party software and didn't find anything yet. I understand bandwidth priority, but that doesn't do much good if there's nobody pulling traffic and you still want to limit a certain client to a max amount of kbits/sec. Any ideas on that would be greatly appreciated. I think that's all for now. Thanks, Robert
