Well lemme answer before Tom slams the PIX part ;)
No doubt about VPN being more secure than that (certificates on IBM Client
Access). If security is the concern, then force VPN there.

Hi, thanks for the responses.
Firstly it is a Cisco PIX we are using. Secondly it is AS/400 Telnet or
5250 emulation running with IBM Client Access.
Mainly I just wanted to know is one more secure than the other. We would
be using client certificates.
Yes, setting up VPN etc and teaching them how to use and then forgetting
and teaching them again can be a pain. But if it is more secure then that
is what we would do.
So as I said above, I just need to know if both are as secure as each
other.
