SQL Server patch for ISA?

Jim,
My recently installed WSUS server has detected that I need a security
patch for SQL Server 2000 on my ISA box. I know you mentioned before
that we should not apply any patches to MSDE unless directed, so is this
one safe?

Not sure if it is detecting the ISA instance or SurfControl instance of
MSDE.
