That's fine...I just wanted to be sure it was a manual process vs an automated purge somewhere inside ISA. -----Original Message----- From: Joseph [mailto:cismic@xxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, May 17, 2002 12:34 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: SQL Logging DB Size http://www.ISAserver.org HI, What you will have to determine is what to purge from your sql logs. ie 404 errors, caching errors, error code 12202 etc. Then you will have good data to use for reporting. thank you, Joseph -----Original Message----- From: Rogers, Brian [mailto:RogersB@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, May 17, 2002 9:38 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] SQL Logging DB Size http://www.ISAserver.org Just curious as to the maintenance and or size limitations of logging ISA services to SQL Server. I just switched over to this and within a minute the database is already at 15 megs. While this isn't large, at this rate it will become insanely large in a matter of weeks/months. Is the procedure to just backup the database then clear out the old data after X amount of days? Logging to text files creates some rather large files, but at least they got deleted after a week or so. ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: cismic@xxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: rogersb@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
