It's such a pity you can't see me salivating at my desk right now, I'm sure
it would make you realise the effort you're putting in is so absolutely
appreciated!!!!

Hi All,

To start there will be 4 scripts.

1. Moves the log files to your log file processor machine if you have
one. Or you can just move them to
a secure folder on ISA machine and process them as InQueue/OutQueue.
Also have updated this to show
how to use the command line scheduling to run the move script at a
given time.

2. (WEB) Sql to create the table to contain the data, stored procedure
that is called from script and the script to import Web Proxy into the
table. I import raw data and haven't thought about parsing as the data
is imported. I use other stored procedures to parse out information.
i.e. browser type, 200's, 404's, 304's etc.

3. (PACKET) Sql to create the table to contain data and the stored
procedure that is called to import the Packet log file.
I'm almost done with the sql hex conversion feature so you can at least
try and tell what was in a packet.

4. (FIREWALL) Sql to create the table to contain data and the stored
procedure that is called to import the Packet log file.

These can be on internal and external isa machines, since the machine
names and log file names are included in the table so you can determine
by day and log what is going on.

Would it be possible for other minions to get their grimy hands on this
magic script? I used to log directly to my SQL server, but it screwed up
the ISA reports (i.e., they stopped!!) so I returned to log files for
the ISA reports, but I prefer to do my ad-hoc reports from the DB.

Thanks,

Hi Joseph (aka cismic)

Just posting my little reminder to ask if you've had a chance to
complete the SQL & VB Scripts to import the ISA Logs into a SQL
database. As you may recall I have had enormous difficulty with doing
this myself and am thus eagerly awaiting your solution.

Cheers

William R.
