Hi Richard,

They are playing catch up now and they are doing work in this area. The challange for the ISA team is to stay on top of application layer inspection and further extend the app filter feature set. While Cisco is playing catch up in the app layer inspection space, ISA is playing catch up in the network layer stuff, like policy based routing, NAT address mapping, packet shaping, and link aggregation. If ISA can continue its market lead in the app layer inspection space, and catch up in the basic network layer stuff, it'll continue to make impressive inroads.

Thanks!

Tom

Hi Tom,

You really think that'll happen? I don't believe if it does that Cisco will stay in the dark for long?

Richard.

Next step is showing the ISA firewall is more secure than the PIX. Stay tuned!
