Hi Steve, I don't think there's a hook into the SMTP Message screener, but you might check out the SDK. I think MS wanted to leave this area open to 3rd parties, but wanted to include a base product for people who wanted to use "sweat equity" to manage their spam :-) HTH, Tom Thomas W Shinder www.isaserver.org/shinder <http://www.isaserver.org/shinder> ISA Server and Beyond: http://tinyurl.com/1jq1 <http://tinyurl.com/1jq1> Configuring ISA Server: http://tinyurl.com/1llp <http://tinyurl.com/1llp> -----Original Message----- From: Craft, Steve [mailto:SCraft@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, February 19, 2003 2:27 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] SMTP Filter Hook? http://www.ISAserver.org I was reading "Exchange and Outlook UPDATE, Outlook Edition, February 18, 2003" (from Exchange-and-Outlook_UPDATE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), and it talks abut Bayesian spam filtering and open-source initiatives to produce Outlook addons and etc. I was thinking that if the ISA SMTP filter had any API hooks (ala ISAPI filters for IIS), one could be worked into that product, heading off spam without touching any clients. So.... Does anyone know if/how the SMTP filter can be hooked to run external code when it receives mail?
