OK, now we are getting some where. 

 

In Outlook, how do you have the SMTP server configured, by IP address or
FQDN like mail.domain.com?

 

Since you are setting up the client as a Web Proxy client, did you configure
Outlook to use the same setting as Internet Explorer?

 

How is the client configured for DNS settings?

Ok.. I'll Uninstall IIS completely. I studied that IIS should not be
installed. But to test the mail part, I've done that. I did not define any
outbound rules for SMTP. I created a rule for all Protocols which means it
should do for SMTP also. 

 

 

So I configured one client(Win 98) to Web Proxt settings and was able to
browse the internet. When I configure the Outlook , the mails are neither
going out not comming in. This is the problem
