99 times out of 10, a "403" response indicates a mismatch between the rule data and the requested URL. Take a look in the MANY articles on www.microsoft.com/isaserver/guidance and www.isaserver.org <http://www.isaserver.org/> for instructions on how to set up RPC/HTTP through ISA. ________________________________ From: Syed, Mohsin Ali [mailto:SMohsin@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, July 16, 2005 4:12 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RPC Over HTTP througn ISA 2004 http://www.ISAserver.org Hi , I am facing problem with the RPC over HTTP (outlook client doesn't work from outside) My scenario FE_Exchg and BE_Exchg are in the internal network, ISA 2004 is in the DMZ. 1) Configured OWA and RPC Over Http. OWA Works fine from outside, facing problems with the RPC, it doesn't connect, Configured 2 ext IP on the ISA, one listener is listening for OWA (with forms based auth) and other listener is listening on other IP for RPC (Basic Auth) I have tested RPC Over HTTP Internally, it connects through TCI/IP Connection, certificate is exported and imported to the ISA from exchg_frontend server (web site certificate), internally it doesn't connect through HTTPS(in outlook) , I checked with Outlook /RPCDIAG it shows that TCIP/IP Connection Established, From browser I tested for the RPC, when I put https://exchange (front-end server) /rpc it asks for the authentication and it gives the 403 Error, https:mail.domaina.com/exchange (internally works fine and OWA from out side works fine) Does any have the step-by-step configuration to publish OWA and RPC Over http on ISA 2004, or if any tools to check the RPC connection internally.
