Hi William, Won't work. The external interface won't access broadcast packets. This allows the Cable modem (which uses dhcp) to assign a varing IP address to the external port of the router while allowing the internal address of the router to stay the same. This my publishing rules happy on the ISA server. Otherwise each and every time the cable modem re-assigns and address the rules need updating. This setup is working great. However the router does RIP and I would like to have the RIP packets update the routing table on the ISA server. What type of rules or filters are required on the ISA server to allow RIPv2 packets on the external interface to update the ISA routing table. I have enabled RIP on the ISA Server in the RRAS configuration. RIP between my interal router and the ISA server is working fine.
