..not a separate rule, but a separate listener altogether.
This is where the auth takes place for internal clients.

So would it be better to provide a separate rule for those clients that
has basic authentication turned on, or to just add basic authentication
to the current rule?

That was the nice part about using IE for the Mac, it solved a lot of
the little authentication problems.  Well, it used to....
