Well Tom, ISA Server can filter downloads by extension, but it's not intuitive.
I believe that things should be made to be configured in 5 minutes or so.

That's what it's like in DownloadSecurity. ISA Server documentation explains
little about this kind of filtering, that's why I believe DownloadSecurity was
made, to complement ISA Server.

I think that the time you waste trying to configure all kinds of rules to
filter extensions are compensated by paying the price of the software that does
it.

Of course, there is another theory which is: "No, I don't believe it doesn't
work. Not without a good fight" =)

Sometimes you have to stick with the other one! Hehehe...

Hi Tiago,

While I wouldn't say that the built in ISA Server features are that
limited, I certainly do agree that download security adds a lot of
functionality and makes it a LOT easier to block downloads. They also
have some useful docs and I believe there is even a review of the
product on the www.isaserver.org site ;-)

Thanks!
Tom

ISA's features are too limited, not to mention that installing
DownloadSecurity will save your time on research and testing. It's all
right there, ready to go!

Give it a try. You'll see it's worth it =)
