Kerry, Install the adminpak.msi which ships with the Windows 2000 Server cd on your W2K Pro desktop. Using the ISA Server cd, run the setup on your desktop and choose to only install the ISA Management console. From here you should be able to use the ISA Management console from your desktop. Another good option is to install Terminal Services in Remote Admin mode on your ISA Server and then use the Terminal Services client from your laptop. We have the ISA Standard Edition installed on our ISAServer that is in another building quite a distance away from the IT department. It would be wonderful to be able to manage it similiar to the manageability of our AD from my 2000pro desktop. I have the ISA server cd in my pc and the server install screen comes up. I notice that there is a admin folder on the cd under the isa folder with a "msisa.msc" and "usermgr.msc". When I try to launch the "msisa.msc" I get an MMC error Snap-in failed to initialize. Name: - not available - clsid: {472f91d1-e3f6-11d1-b377-00a0248e62f1} and the only response is to press the OK button. The ISA Management console comes up with a blank screen.
