Okay, thanks for pondering it... -----Original Message----- From: Jim Harrison [mailto:Jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, February 22, 2006 6:34 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Publishing Website with pre-assigned credentials? http://www.ISAserver.org "force anonymous connections to use a specific account" is a non-statement in ISA-land, because the ISA services don't impersonate. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Ball, Dan [mailto:DBall@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, February 22, 2006 15:26 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Publishing Website with pre-assigned credentials? http://www.ISAserver.org Not the client, but the connection. Sorta like the IIS "Connect As" option when redirecting a Virtual Directory to a UNC. -----Original Message----- From: Jim Harrison [mailto:Jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, February 22, 2006 6:18 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Publishing Website with pre-assigned credentials? http://www.ISAserver.org You're missing the point. We have a web-based calendar program that uses AD authentication to identify the users, but contrary to their claims it doesn't seem to support true "mixed-mode" authentication. In order to have a "guest" account, we either have to create a separate login account for each of the hundreds of users in the calendar program, or utilize an AD account with guest privileges. So, is there a way (via ISA2004) to force incoming web connections to use a specific AD account to authenticate to the webserver? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx All mail to and from this domain is GFI-scanned. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: dball@xxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx All mail to and from this domain is GFI-scanned. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: dball@xxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx All mail to and from this domain is GFI-scanned. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: dball@xxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
