Publishing DNS

Ok - I wanted to share what I discovered regarding my issues with publishing
a Public DNS server on a DMZ with the group, perhaps there might be others
that are going through this. First, you need to decide if you want to run
DNS on ISA or have a published DNS server on say your DMZ, mine is on my
DMZ, if you choose the DMZ make sure DNS Service is NOT running on ISA, this
is important because it Will prevent the publishing rule from working, you
will still need the DNS Client for resolving but shut down the DNS Service,
then simply follow the Server Publishing Wizard and make sure you stop and
restart your firewall service after configuring.

My problem was that I was running DNS Services on my ISA as well as
attempting to publish my own public DNS Server, I had to have some DNS
running until I figured out
this issue because of my mail services, that is why I left running DNS on
ISA, unknowingly though, it was preventing me from successfully publishing
DNS on a separate server on my DMZ.

Also - remember to stop and restart the firewall service .. I am sure there
might be some that think that after making changes, all is well .. NOT. so
be safe and restart.
