All of the certs are from Verisign. We don't have an internal CA. Is that what could be causing the slowness? You can publish your certificate revocation list (CRL) or disable cert checking on the browsers. The CRL publishing would be easier :) There's a KB article on how to do this, and I wrote about it somewhere, but don't recall if it was in a book or on the Web site.
