Hey Bill, What about user permissions on the C:\Documents and Settings\%insert username here%\Favorites Directory? Also, are there any 3rd party tools like tweakui installed that would automatically be deleting profile data like cookies, temp files, etc? Just a thought. -----Original Message----- From: William Kolkman [mailto:computronics4@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, February 20, 2004 4:04 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Probably OT http://www.ISAserver.org I have only been working with ISA for about eight months now and am convinced of its necessity. I have very few problems with it and the information received on this board has been a fantastic help. I do have a question though concerning Internet Explorer "Favorites". I have been to Microsoft, experts exchange, etc. with no avail. My problem is: Users are unable to retain their favorites after visiting their websites and logging off. Once they log back in, their favorites are gone. I am operating in a school environment with Win 2K server and ISA on the same box (the only box by the way) :-( Not my choice! I have not found any setting that I know of that would prohibit these saves. I have checked, double checked and yes triple checked group policies in AD and on the local machines. I was wondering if ISA might have something to do with this? Just a thought!! Thanks Bill Kolkman PS - I have been reading the ISA Bible by Dr. Tom and totally believe that no one should be without it. Especially a rookie like me. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: fares@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
