Sunbelt-software has a corporate rate for multiple installations. There
are a number of freeware pop-up blockers that seem to do the job, but
the only one I've used consistently is iHatePopups. Check out
http://www.panicware.com/ for a really popular one.

Another solution is get the Google Toolbar 2.0 Beta.(
http://toolbar.google.com/ ) It works, I know it doesn't stop them at
the server and sometimes you need the pop up box, but it's an easy cheap
solution.

I prefer the redirection; that way the "space" on the page has something
intelligible, like "noads.htm". It's exactly that; simple text saying
"no ads", so I can tell what's working and what isn't.
Bear in mind that the popups won't stop; that's a client-side problem.

Apply the deny rules scripts that are on isastuff.mine.nu some genius
bloke wrote them, cant remember his name. They deny your web browser
from visiting millions of gaming, sex and advertising sites. I found one
of the biggest drawbacks about certain other firewall packages (linux)
*under breathe* was that I had to use a silly little program called pop
up add filter, although it worked.
