Hello Michael,

If you open, or go to the properties of Internet Explorer and go under
Internet Options. Select the Security Tab and verify for Internet if
Active Scripting is enabled or disabled.

If is it disabled, you will see a screen that displays loading without
anything else happening.

Take care,

Chris

Subject: [isalist] OWA not accessible via IE yet is in other Browsers

http://www.ISAserver.org

Firstly forgive me if this issue has come up before. I am new to the
list.

I am IT Manager at a College. We run ISA Server for caching and firewall
via a Shiva router to local ISP. We run our own Web Site on a separate
Server. we run Exchange 2000 on yet another Server. All Servers running
on Win 2000 server.

OWA is accessible on the local Intranet. OWA is accessible on the
Internet ONLY form Opera, Netscape etc, that is NON IE Browsers - I have
checked all versions from 4.0 to 6.0 of IE.

I know the problem is related to Windows Integrated Authentication.
I have checked all the Exchange folders and ensured that authentication
is set to Basic Text Authentication -that is why Opera and Netscape can
get access.
When you try to connect via IE you get the initial OWA screen with the
folders visible and all the menu images, but it just stays Michael
Bright: with the word "loading". See attached screenshot.

I have checked out Technet and Microsoft KB but cannot get an answer.
Our $150 per hour consultant is also at a loss ! - not for the first
time I might add!

I have implemented the recommendations of Q290341 relating to the
Exchange Virtual Server Properties in the Exchange System Manager System
setting it at Basic Authentication. I have checked that the same Basic
Authentication is set on the Virtual Directories in IIS. I have a copy
of Tom Shinder's book and read the relevant chapter thoroughly and also
his tutorial on OWA on the Web. Still no joy.

Can anyone please help me on this one? It is so frustrating.

Thanks in anticipation
