Well of course you can. Someone said you couldn't. They obviously skipped
pages 401-409 of "ISA Server and Beyond" good book that

use owa internally

After clearing the checkbox you need to restart the virtual server.

OK, you set it, but did you restart the machine? When you restart, the
changes you made to the OWA Web sites will be overwritten and the integrated
authentication option will get checked again. I haven't figured out how to
fix this :-\
