I hate nachi. I just had a client with a bad infection. I'm hired in as
a consultant to fill in for the regular IT guy whose been getting more
involved in management and less involved in IT. Good thing too. He
thought that workstations with anti-virus and a firewall in place meant
that he didn't need anti-virus on the servers. Wrong. One laptop with
nachi. That's all it took. All 7 servers in the place got major
infections with 200 to 600 infected .exe's each. The only up side was I
got to say, I told you so.

Good deal,

We have over 3,000 machines on our WAN. We have patched machines
and patched, but our IDS box still picks up an infected machine here and
there. Mostly Nachi.

Now, this is the way to handle the problem. I'll donate to this
cause!
