Two separate outputs on a NVidia Quadro NVS (don't remember the exact
model number). I'm sure it is a VGA/VGA combination, but like I said,
this makes it all a little more complex.

Is it a single DVI output that actually supports 2 DVI monitors? Most
of
the sinlge DVI/dual head cards I've seen are for DVI/VGA VGA/VGA or just

DVI... But not DVI/DVI from a single output... What kind of card?

I completely forgot about that, I have a DVI connector on my own
computer... My dual-head NVidia uses a single DVI connector for both
monitor outputs...

So, I did a bit of Googling for "DVI pinouts", and found there are
several variations of the connectors. This might be a more complex
issue...

DVI should work just fine (as long as it's a DVI monitor.) It should
even
do an autoswitch with the VGA adapter for you (with the little adapter.)

I've got dual, dual head video cards-- my NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400 (which
was
about $1200 too much for what I use it for) has dual DVI outputs-- one
going
to my Sonly DSM-SH74P flat screen (DVI-D) and the other going with the
VGA
adapter on it going to another Sonly flat screen... No issues at all,
perfect picture. The only issue I ran into was with my other GEForce MX
420
(for my other 2 monitors) and getting the settings just right for my
Maxent
29" plasma screen-- it was a funky 1366x768 deal, but that's VGA.

DVI should not be giving you any issues... What is the video card and
monitor type?

Hey folks,

Anyone have much experience with Monitors with DVI connections? I put my
first one together the other day, and it was a nightmare getting the
colors right. Didn't know if I got a whack monitor, or if its something
about DVI. I'm going to try it again tomorrow and wondered if my last
experience was a one-off, or if DVI connections need more babysitting.

TNX,
Tom
