However, that "Peanut Butter Monkey Butt Porn" you requested keeps kicking back... You're not using Spamarrest too, are you? t ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg Mulholland" <greg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "[ISAserver.org Discussion List]" <isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, June 18, 2005 7:39 PM Subject: [isalist] Re: OT: Attn Thor http://www.ISAserver.org Al good points in the discussion but like you said John.. There is no perfect solution. One size doesn't fit all. Its your mail, its your domain, you run whatever the hell you want too. I will choose in the long run if I want to accept or send mail to you based on your email security practices. Plus, personally ive never had a problem sending mail to thor or receiving all the gay porn he sends me!!!!! So far, you've just criticized my method without > offering up a solution. What would you have me do? I have not offered a solution as others may take that as I am pushing my services. I am not going to do that. However I will jump all over C/R systems when ever I have a chance. There are just too many things that are bad about them. Understand there is no perfect solution. If there was, the war on spam would be over. The best anti-spam solutions are those that use multiple checks/tests to determine if the message is legitimate or spam. My system runs 143 tests on each message to determine whether it is legitimate or spam and has been doing so with reported results from users of 99% of e-mail into their mail box is clean of spam. Many people use GFI products successfully. There are many other products out there. The point is C/R is problematic and is arbitrary. It has been proven time and time again that an arbitrary single test of a message causes problems. Sorry, but I and many other professional e-mail administrators knowingly look at C/R as worse than rejecting/deleting e-mail based on a RBL!
