And when the next virus uses your e-mail address as the forged from
address, the IP that all of those "challenges" come from will be
correctly flagged as sending out spam. Additionally there is already a
concept virus that will actually respond to those challenges, although
no virus yet has used it.

Or how about this DOS attack that has already happened: A Black Hat
sends out thousands and thousands of messages with a single forged from
address to a system that uses C/R such as Earthlink. That system then
bombards that forged from address with thousands of C/R messages. Yes,
this has already happened.

Have you ever seen what happens when both sender and recipient are on
C/R systems? It creates an endless loop of one server challenging the
other.

C/R systems are known to create problems with auto notices, such as
those from airlines and on-line retailers.

Remember people, if the war on spam were that easy to win, it would have
been over already.
