That sounds like something I'd like to try. If you can point me to a reference or doc on that I'd really appreciate it. -----Original Message----- From: Greg Mulholland [mailto:gmulholland@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sunday, October 13, 2002 6:52 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Newbie ISA question on setup... http://www.ISAserver.org You could try something like forwarding all ports form the router to the isa box and control eveything from there. I'm reading the online documentation and some docs from the ISA site on setting up ISA on an ADSL connection and I'm not seeing anything on how to deal with routers. I have a 4 port Linksys DSL router that provides NAT for my existing w2k network. This network has both a web server and email server published. My web server is running Apache instead of IIS, will this be a problem? What happens to my router? I see that ISA can be used instead of NAT and ICS. Does this mean I have to make a decision to get rid of the router and use the ISA server for all of my routing? One of my main reason for implementing ISA on my home network is to learn more about firewall and rules rules. I understand that the answer to these questions may be found somewhere online, but I'm hoping someone will be available to expand on this from their own experiences. Any response is appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org/ Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: gmulholland@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org/ Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: marvc@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
