Moving standalone ISA server into an array?ISA only provides "fault tolerance" for firewall and web proxy clients, and then only for client-to-ISA connections. Load-balancing is limited to CARP for web requests. If you're looking to make an ISA array truly fault-tolerant, you need to look into either a software add-on like StoneSoft or some of the hardware load-balancing solutions offered by Cisco, 3Com, Foundry, etc. Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/authors/harrison/ Read the books! ----- Original Message ----- From: Rogers, Brian To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Sent: Friday, January 04, 2002 8:46 AM Subject: [isalist] Re: Moving standalone ISA server into an array? http://www.ISAserver.org Its already runnin Enterprise Edition... The internet domain is currently NT4...it will be upgraded to AD and I wanted to add a second ISA server for load balancing and fault tolerance and join up the original ISA server we use now.
