As I understood he need just 1 active gateway connection at a time, when 1 dies other has to be activated. All he needs is some connection checking script which then switch route to available working gateway ... (above is valid if he is using NATing on both gateways interfaces if he exposes public ip to internet isa interface it will be a bit more difficult) DavidF ________________________________ From: Steve Lunn [mailto:Steve.Lunn@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 19, 2005 8:03 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: More than 1 Internet connection on LAN http://www.ISAserver.org /me ducks from the avalanche of "Use RainConnect" responses Regards, Steve Steve Lunn Technical Support Technician - Microsoft MCP engage Mutual Assurance DDI: 01423 855101 Fax: 01423 855181 -----Original Message----- From: Tris [mailto:tristan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 19 May 2005 13:47 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] More than 1 Internet connection on LAN http://www.ISAserver.org Hi, I am running ISA 2000 server on a W2003 machine. On the ISA2k server i have 2 x NIC, 1 x Internal LAN connection, the other an external facing connection to my internet provider. This all works fine, but what i want to do now is add a 2nd (backup) internet connection on the same LAN. I have a ADSL BT connection, which im using a Linksys ADSL router to connect to the internet from a standalone PC. I now know that my BT ADSL connection is working, what i want to do now is add the router/2nd internet connection to my existing LAN, and if the main connection fails, have a smooth transition over to my 2nd connection. Please please help, as i have been racking my brains about this Thanks This mail was checked for viruses by GFI MailSecurity.
