If your error pages are really "back to basic", then its time to examine any
other events in your application and system event logs that ISA entered.

Take the error pages from the CD to make sure you got the "clean" ones.

I back-up every error page for internal users that placed in %ISA
FOLDER%/ErrorHtmls.

I modify every error page (to accomodate my company), and put in ErrorHTMLs
folder. When I try to restart firewall service "everything works fine". Then I
made change to only one htm file (minor spelling error). When I try to restart
firewall service .... It could not be started. I restore "original error pages"
from back-up to ISA 2004 Standard edition error folder and firewall service
still could not start.

ISA report errors: The Web Proxy filter could not initialize (error
code 501.3120.4.0.2163.213)

The Web Proxy filter could not initialize
(error code 505.84.4.0.2163.213).

Cannot load an application filter Web Proxy
Filter ({4CB7513E-220E-4C20-815A-B67BAA295FF4}). FilterInit failed with code
0x80070006. To attempt to activate this application filter again, stop and
restart the Firewall service.

Please help.
