Don't confuse caching technologies with the servers that actually provide the 
content.

MS did work with Akamai to help absorb the load of folks hitting Windowsupdate 
to get the Blaster patch, and its entirely possible that they've expanded this 
to other MS-owned sites as well.

This "report" is, as usual, only telling that part of hte story that sounds 
"interesting".
